Where's the Best Thai in Town?

Because green, yellow or red curry is the second-most important decision to make

Janice MacDonald, author of the Randy Craig mysteries

The Thai Mekong Restaurant:  “In St. Albert, on the west side of the ‘Trail,’ just past the mall, this restaurant has the most intoxicating pumpkin soup in the universe. Even my husband, who prefers food one chews, is willing to order it, which is saying something.”

Erin Ross, visual artist

Boualouang Laos & Thai Cuisine: “This place does a good job with all the favourites — green and red curries, pad thai, spicy beef salad (naam tok), coconut rice, the works. But, my ultimate favourite is the tom yum soup with shrimp. It has the perfect amount of heat, spice and acid from the kaffir lime leaves.”

Belinda Cornish, theatre actor

The King & I: “I’m an appetizer gal, and I love their chicken satay with peanut sauce, as well as the Thai spring rolls. Ooh, and also the pork ribs in lemongrass. I could go on.”
