Some of the dishes include the Colombian-inspired empanadas, loaded with spicy beef and potato, and Mexican flautas, which are more widely known as taquitos, only these piquant chicken, onion and cheese-stuffed pastries haven’t been sitting on a heating-tray for several hours. Both are served fresh with house-made salsa, sour cream and guacamole. Two of the restaurant’s more popular entrées are Peruvian: the lomo saltado, a stir-fry of marinated lean beef, onions, tomatoes, garlic and french fries, has delightful hints of vinegar, soy sauce and lime juice to perk up the flavour; the pollo a la brasa is a slowly roasted rotisserie chicken that’s dry-rubbed in a secret blend of 14 spices.
