Chocolatier Jaqueline Jacek outgrew the Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market and now she’s outgrown her home, which she’d turned into a chocolate factory for custom collections and seasonal chocolate lines as if they were Prada blouses. Now she’s giving her “couture” chocolates — named one of Avenue’s 25 Best Things to Eat in 2011 — the attention they deserve with a standalone store. “We invite customers to come to our boutique at the front end of the studio to learn about fine chocolate,” she says, “and, of course, to purchase the collection of Jacek products.”
