This family-run restaurant is a hidden gem tucked away in a Calgary Trail strip mall. Start with whole grain homemade tea and explore the authentic tastes of Korea, starting with bibimbap, a bowl of egg, rice and sautéed vegetables that goes beyond expectations with a simple squirt of its homemade peanut-y hot sauce. The chicken balls are atypical with a little bit of chili and sugar for boldness, while the fried chicken is not of your Kentucky variety. This broken up whole chicken is marinated in a sweet special sauce and fried to a beautiful crisp. According to the chef’s son, Philip Lee, about 70 per cent of the customers order it.
