The Mikado — A Sneak Peek

For the first time since 2010, the Edmonton Opera has designed an entire set of new costumes for a production.

As seen from these sneak-preview shots of The Mikado, which runs Feb. 4, 7 and 9 at the Jubilee Auditorium, the cast is outfit in costumes that act both as a salute to traditional Japan and to the punk-rock chic of Tokyo’s trendy Harajuku district.
