Tell us how you knew that your fiancé was The One for you in 500 words or less:
My Fiance an I met online, he was living in Holland and I in Edmonton. I had a feeling he was the one before I ever met him, you see this was no dating website we met on, it was a Star Trek role playing website. Our two characters, a Bajoran doctor and an Andorian pilot started as very good friends, which soon grew into something more. Slowly Mark and I followed suit conversing over MSN with webcams. It was amazing to connect intellectualy before physical contact was even possible. Still living at home it was difficult for me to admit this relationship to my parents, but with his urging I did. The initial response was not good, and deeply troubled I ended the relationship. The next afternoon a phone call came in. My mom picked it up and then several minutes later came into the room were I was working. She said “You need to take this call, It's Mark.” “Mark?” I asked shocked, “Holland Mark?” “Ye.s” she said and handed me the phone. I was dumbfounded. “How did you get this number?” I asked suspicously . “An online phone book. Thankfully there are not a lot of Van Heysts in Edmonton or I would have bothered a lot of people.” He explained in a knee weakening eurpopean accent, I had never heard his voice before. He then went on to say he had called to talk to my mom to explain that he was honestly was in love with me, and had no bad intentions. She accepted this and offered to hand the phone over to me. Needless to say I restarted this strange romance. I went to Holland meet him a little over two years ago with my parents in tow. He greeted me with the biggest white rose I had ever seen, and an even bigger smile. I knew that moment he was truly the one. A year ago he moved to Canada on a work permit and is now working toward perminant residency. He proposed to me over Christmas vacation in Costa Rica and we are getting married in the Dominican Republic in December.
